Georgia on my mind

After “fixing” the camper in Louisiana, we were able to travel eastward and ended up staying one more night in a Selma, AL hotel before descending into the sweet embrace of grandparents and a pool. It was about 17 seconds after we arrived that Olive was in Papa’s pool and back to glee.

It is amazing how air conditioning and having a little break from being a 4 year old’s constant playmate can rejuvenate a soul. The stress and worry of traveling cross country was trying and having a few days to reset was just what the Brannens needed. Papa, showing his love language, had already lined up for us to bring the camper to a repair place and have what needed to be fixed performed under warranty, as well as give Bullet the truck a much needed oil change and look over after hauling a behemoth camper across the country in late summer. As we took a deep breath of the thick Georgia air, we knew we could rest for a while and recover from the last 2 months of chaos.
